Welcome to the Private Collection of Jim & Gayle Halperin

Please enjoy browsing Jim & Gayle Halperin's collections of art, decorative arts, sculpture, and other antiques and collectibles, as well as James Halperin's collections of comic books and comic art. This is just a partial listing. As you can see, we are both compulsive collectors. We married in August 1984, and since then we've managed to accumulate tens of thousands of individual items, many common, but some quite rare. We’ll be adding more to this web site as quickly as we can get them photographed and described.

Many objects shown here are on loan to various museums (usually denoted as such in the descriptions). We invite museum curators to let us know if you’d like to borrow any pieces listed here for a museum exhibition, as we can often accommodate such requests.

Also, any information or comments on the objects on this site will be most appreciated, especially if you notice errors in the descriptions or if you know interesting things about them that we might not.

We're always willing to consider purchasing or trading for items that fit with our collecting interests, and will buy entire collections to obtain objects we want. If you know of a major collection that is for sale in the areas we collect, we will gladly pay you a finder's fee for an introduction that results in a transaction.

We also occasionally sell duplicates or excess material both privately and at auction, so if you are interested in buying a particular object, let us know and we'll contact you if it is ever for sale.
